Jimmy Carr : Confirmed Hair Transplant

Jimmy Carr did not shy away from rumors about his hair; instead, he openly showcased the results of his hair transplant during his show.

Jimmy Carr is refreshingly candid about his hair transplant procedure and has praised the importance of being open about such treatments. He noted that many Hollywood actors often deny undergoing similar procedures, even when it is obvious to everyone.

Jimmy Carr underwent a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant. This technique involves individually extracting hair follicles from a donor area and implanting them into small incisions made in the recipient sites.

While Carr himself mentioned receiving 4000 grafts, this number likely refers to the total number of hair follicles rather than the actual graft count, as each graft can contain multiple follicles. Given the extent of his hair loss and the results achieved, it is highly unlikely that Carr received 4000 grafts; 4000 individual hair follicles, likely translating to 1500-1800 actual grafts, is the more plausible figure.

Carr received his hair transplant in the UK, although the name of the clinic has not been disclosed. The procedure lasted 14 hours, during which he watched Netflix and listened to the radio.

He described the experience as “uncomfortable” rather than painful. The hair transplant was part of a larger transformation that also included dental work and Botox treatments.

While Jimmy Carr’s hair transplant cost is undisclosed, considering his celebrity status and typical pricing at premium UK clinics catering to high-profile clients, the procedure likely cost between £20,000 and £30,000.

This is an extreme case, as even severe hair loss can typically be managed with just 2 to 3 hair transplants and medications.

It seems that Best needed more hair transplants because he did not maintain his results with minoxidil or finasteride, which led to the loss of his native hair, making his previous hair transplants ineffective.

He had his first FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) procedure in 2010 and a year later, in 2011, he underwent a second FUT hair transplant, revealing the results on “Dancing on Ice.” He also recorded an entire live podcast episode on “The Bald Truth” with his surgeon during his second hair transplant procedure.

Before his surgery, Gardiner was classified as Norwood stage 6, which indicates advanced hair loss and is close to being fully bald. According to his surgeon, Gardiner received 3,501 grafts containing 8,000 hair follicles during his first hair transplant procedure and 2,500 grafts during his second procedure, totaling 6,001 grafts overall. His surgeon noted that laser therapy was used in the first two weeks post-surgery to aid in healing.

Prior to getting a hair transplant, Gardiner mentioned that he used a hair replacement system, which was glued into incisions on his scalp but later became septic and torturous. This leads us to believe that Gardiner may have had a Biofibre hair transplant, which has a very high rate of infections and rejections and is banned by the FDA.

Joe Biden: Unconfirmed

The 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, has struggled with significant hair loss since the rise of his political career in the 1980s. If Biden did undergo a hair transplant, it likely involved an outdated technique known as “hair plugs,” which uses larger grafts containing 10 to 20 follicles. In contrast, modern techniques utilize smaller grafts with 1 to 4 follicles.

Joe Rogan: Confirmed Hair Transplant

In his podcast, Joe Rogan revealed that he underwent a hair transplant at the age of 28, describing it as “the dumbest thing he’s ever done.”

He referred to the scar from his Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) as large and resembling a smiling face. Rogan described the procedure by saying it felt like “moving people from a town where everybody is healthy into a town where everyone is dying.”

He explained that while his newly transplanted hair follicles remained, his native hair continued to fall out, which can occur if the hair transplant is not supported by proper medication.

Theo Von: Confirmed Hair Transplant

It was revealed on Joe Rogan’s podcast, as well as in other appearances, that Theo Von underwent a FUE hair transplant and received PRP treatment. Von describes the procedure as being similar to “reforestation.” Von mentioned on his own podcast that he even fell asleep during the surgery.

Von also discussed being on  testosterone therapy for around 6 months and noted that hair loss was a significant side effect that led him to stop the therapy.

It’s important to mention that going on testosterone replacement after a hair transplant can negatively affect the results, as it may cause native hairs to fall out while leaving the transplanted hairs intact.

Zane Hijazi: Confirmed Hair Transplant

Can you tell if a celebrity has had a hair transplant?

Yes, expert surgeons can identify if a celebrity has had a hair transplant, uses hair systems, applies concealers like hair fibers, or is on medications. However, it would be very difficult for the average person to differentiate between these methods.

Where do celebrities get their hair transplants done?

In our list, celebrities have gotten hair transplants in the USA, the UK, Ireland, Spain, India, and Turkey. Celebrities tend to go for clinics/doctors with great results regardless of the pricing.

How much do celebrity hair transplants cost?

Celerity hair transplants can cost anywhere between $5,000 and $35,000, depending on the location of the celebrity’s hair transplant and the surgeon’s experience.

As we have seen from the list, even celebrities with a lot of influence and wealth can get hair transplants in more budget locations, such as Turkey, because they know that Turkish surgeons are highly experienced. In very premium clinics in the UK or in the US hair transplants for celebrities can cost up to $35,000 or £30,000 for a standard 3000 graft hair transplant.
